Our hosts then invited you to call in with your questions and comments during our "Straight Talk" segment. This time, a caller asked a question about the Church's teaching on relics.

In the second hour, hosts Frs. Josh and Justin Waltz joined the Diocese of Rapid City's Fr. Matt Fallgren to talk about confession and if Catholics still frequent the sacrament as much as they used to. Our hosts then traveled around the listening area to hear about local events in our 10-Minute Tour. Next, Frs. Josh and Justin sat down with Deacon Paul Treinen of the Diocese of New Ulm to talk about our gifts and talents and how they can best be used to serve the Lord. Finally, the Diocese of Duluth's Deacon Jim Philbin visited with our hosts about the importance of continuing to learn about our faith as adults and a practical way to do that.

Josh and Justin Waltz began by visiting with Jason Adkins of the Minnesota Catholic Conference about the balance between our responsibilities and our baptismal call to share the truth of our faith in the political realm. Frs. Josh and Justin then invited you to call in with your questions and comments during our "Straight Talk" segment. This time, listeners asked questions on topics including: why so many Catholics voted for pro-abortion politicians; what we say to people who disagree with calling out our priests and bishops who don't uphold the teachings of the Church; why laws on immigration change but not the ones on abortion; why the bishops didn't vote on new policies concerning the current crisis at their recent conference; and if our hosts experienced the homosexual subculture while they were in seminary.

In the second hour, host Fr. James Gross joined the Diocese of Bismarck's Fr. Russ Kovash to talk about the idea of penance, what that means, and how the season of Advent provides an opportunity of renewal in our turbulent times. Our host then continued our 10-Minute Tour as we traveled around the listening area to hear about local happenings. Deacon Timothy and Julie Dickes then spoke about their experience with ministering to those in jail and prison and why it's a needed ministry. Finally, Fr. Gross visited with Jim Mino about the idea of Men's Groups and building a brotherhood to lead in our Church.
