In the second hour, hosts Frs. Josh and Justin Waltz joined Peter Martin of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester to talk about how we celebrate the process of preparation for matrimony and, at the same time, prepare engaged couples for the challenges they could face once married. It was then time for our 10-Minute Tour of local events. Emma Hergenroeder stopped by to talk about a holistic retreat for women that highlights their beauty and draws them to true femininity. Finally, our hosts took us “Around the World” to hear about events impacting Catholics near and far and showcased how, in each of these things, “Catholic Lives Matter."

RPL Hr. 2 February 19: Chris Motz, 10-Minute Tour, Deacon Mike Leman, Chris Dodson (LIVE from Catholics at the Capitol)
In this second hour of our special RPL broadcast from Catholics at the Capitol in St. Paul, MN, hosts Michael Wilde and Fr. Bryan Kujawa joined Chris Motz of the South Dakota Catholic Conference to get an update on their legislative session and talk about how, despite being a conservative state, challenges like relativism are creeping in. It was then time for our 10-Minute Tour of local events. After that, our hosts joined Deacon Mike Leman of the Diocese of Cheyenne to visit about his role as liaison for the Diocese and the state legislature. They also discussed some of the priorities Deacon has been focusing on so far in his state's legislative session. Finally, Michael and Fr. Bryan spoke with Chris Dodson of the North Dakota Catholic Conference about what has been happening in the North Dakota session and about the importance of letting our Catholic voices be heard.

Bishop John Quinn of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester was with us to offer his insights on the Lenten season and share some ideas for how we can grow in our relationship with Christ. Finally, Thomas Eskro from Sacred Heart Parish in Aberdeen, SD taught us about the principle of proximity and how being aware of it is helpful to us and the Church.
