In January 2020, hundreds of thousands will travel to Washington, D.C. to remember the unfortunate day of the January 22, 1973 Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision which allowed unborn children to be killed in the womb. Ramsey County Area Right to Life (RCARTL), realizing there are many who would like to attend the event in D.C. but cannot, decided to provide a local option for pro-life individuals of different faiths, backgrounds, and ages to gather together in support for life in the womb and to remember the more than six million babies that have been killed through abortion in the past 47 years.
On Wednesday evening, January 22, 2020 there will be a March for Life event at the Memorial Building in Devils Lake. This is the first March for Life event sponsored by RCARTL, it is our hope it will become an annual event. The doors will open at 6:00 PM with the March beginning at 6:30 PM. The outside March for Life will encompass a two block area in downtown Devils Lake (dress appropriately for the weather that day). Flameless candles will be provided by RCARTL for the outside walkers. Everyone who is able to walk outside is strongly encouraged to do so but those who would have difficulty walking outside are encouraged to come and just be present in the Memorial Building to show their support for this cause. Walking the inside perimeter of the Memorial Building gymnasium is an option for those wishing to walk in the March but cannot walk outside. The outside event will end up back at the Memorial Building at approximately 7:00 PM. A local speaker is scheduled to address the group at 7:15 PM. Hot beverages, bars/cookies will be provided by RCARTL.
If you have questions regarding this event, please contact:

PRAYER RALLY & WALK FOR LOVE AND LIFE: This pro-Life event will be held on Jan. 22nd at Sioux Falls First, 6300 W. 41st Street, Sioux Falls, SD starting at 6:30 p.m., as it is every year regardless of the weather.
It will include a rally with ecumenical prayer and Fr. Kevin O’Dell speaking on the aftermath of abortion, but also on forgiveness, hope, and healing. Following the rally, there will be a silent prayer walk to Planned Parenthood and a fellowship reception.
This is on a Wednesday church night this year; so please, take the opportunity for you and your family to be inspired together to pray for the conversion of hearts to respect human life, born and pre-born and for the reconciliation and healing of hearts affected by abortion. Dress for the weather!
Behold, children are a gift from the Lord. (Psalm 127:3)
